Paul (age 52) – “I have gone through catheter ablation some years ago and take a series of medications to control my heart rate and keep my blood thin enough to prevent a stroke….I need to watch all aspects of my life to keep from developing major medical issues because of atrial fibrillation. I can send data to my cardiologist in two ways; via the phone or via internet without going to the doctor’s office or emergency room. The other nice feature is it tells me my heart rate; a function that we all use and share as a family. I plan on sticking around and not be a burden on society or my family, thanks in part to AfibAlert®.”  Watch the video

Luis – “It brings lots of peace of mind.”

Susan – “I’ve used AfibAlert® for almost a year and a half and am very satisfied. It gives me peace of mind. I’ve shared the printout quality strips with two cardiologists who were very impressed. You don’t need to print out a strip for your doctor to review. All your cardiologist has to do is go to www.afibalert and sign in using your user name and password and review your recent or all ECGs that you have uploaded. I take a reading every 2 days so in case I ever go into AF I can prove I was in NSR the prior 48 hours to be cardioverted without a concern of silent AF or blood clots. Lately I don’t bother printing up a strip but instead just upload it to AfibAlert®’s server and keep an electronic copy online.”

Frank (age 61) – “I have rented a device called AfibAlert® to check my heart rhythm and alert me as to whether I’m in A-fib. The interesting thing is that it shows PVC’s and PAC’s, so I can reassure myself that nothing other than run-of-the mill premature beats are occurring. I wish I had had it years ago, so I wouldn’t have visited the ER so often.”

Jessica (age 35) – “I purchased the AfibAlert® after searching the internet for an at-home heart monitor. I am now 35, but have experienced heart racing episodes since I was 16. They were elusive and we could never catch one during a stress test or with a holter monitor. I had my last episode in June and FINALLY caught it on the AfibAlert®. The information was enough to show my doctor and the cardiologists that there was in fact a problem. They diagnosed me with PSVT and I had a successful cardiac ablation 6 weeks ago. I have never felt this good. And a big part of the credit goes to your company and your pioneer spirit. Every interaction was pleasant and you were extremely responsive. I am eternally grateful and couldn’t sing your praises enough…keep up the good work!!”

Sherman – “I have had the monitor for several years and have to tell you that this unit has saved my wife and I many days of anxiety and stress in knowing that I was not in Afib. I took a dozen printouts to my cardiologist for him to assess the accuracy of the monitor and when he compared the printout from that morning with the electrocardiogram he just took, he was surprised at the accuracy. As you know I bought a monitor for my wife who also has Afib and we both monitor ourselves at least twice a week. While the monitor is relatively expensive, how do you correlate peace of mind and the safety of knowing when one is in seriously in trouble, with the cost? I am happy that this monitor exists and thank you for the great customer service when I needed some instruction in the beginning.”

Physicians

Dr. Paul Troup, MD, Cardiac Electrophysiologist, CardioVascular Associates of the Southeast L.L.C. – “The AfibAlert® has been able to identify AF on multiple patients when all other methods have failed.”

Dr. Robert Baker, MD, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Electrophysiology, Nevada Cardiology Associates, – “The AfibAlert® is a unique diagnostic option for atrial fibrillation; a heart arrhythmia that is continuing to grow in importance around the world.”

Dr. Hugh Calkins, MD, Director, Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, Professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Medicine – “It is the right kind of solution for patients, because it’s a lifetime solution and Afib is a lifetime condition. I’m very impressed by the device.”

"The algorithm for detecting atrial fibrillation is extremely accurate. Another benefit to me has been the quality of the strips recorded compared to other single lead heart rhythm monitors. These high quality recordings are useful in identifying and monitoring other conditions as well as afib recurrence."

"The AfibAlert is beneficial in the clinical research arena to monitor for recurrence of atrial fibrillation after ablation. The quality of the ECGs it captures is excellent. In addition, patients find it extremely easy to use which yields high compliance"

"I've had my AfibAlert for about nine months (Afib, for four years). It is easy to use and has taught me a lot about my particular Afib patterns. My meds were keeping my heart rate down most of the time and so I thought I wasn't fibrillating unless I had one of the big, obvious episodes; the monitor taught me that I was fibrillating quite often at low heart rates, too. I'm not sure I would ever have figured this out by myself. I only wish I had discovered AfibAlert a year or two earlier."
